    Depth delivered the Lancaster High School boys track team the win in the county meet as part of the Run for Ryan KLS event Saturday at the LHS track.

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins swept 10 firsts and the meet’s top three individual awards on the way to the girls victory in the county track meet as part of the Run for Ryan KLS event at the Lancaster High School track on Saturday afternoon.

  • Late rally lifts Jackets

    The surging Buford Yellow Jackets kept pace in Region IV-AA baseball play with a 6-3 road win over Cheraw on Friday night.
    A four-run sixth-inning rally lifted BHS, 8-9, 6-3, to the decisive runs in the three-run win.
    Kendrick Trapps, who had a single and a double, scored two runs and drove in a run, drew a bases-loaded walk to force home a run and aid the rally. Evan “Buck Shot” Flynn had a RBI-hit and Scotti Moser drilled a two-run single.

    National Signing Day, the day when high school football players can sign with the school of their choice, was over two months ago – Feb. 1.
    I know it’s been some time since those ace recruits inked, but as they say, there’s football season, football recruiting and then spring football.
    Well, we’re in spring football, so here’s a little football recruiting news. This might be a tad old, but then you might have missed it, too.

  • Lady Jackets’ ace Knight signs with SMC

    BUFORD – Friday, April 13th was Hannah Knight’s lucky day.
    Knight, a two-sport standout at Buford High School, solidified her future, signing a scholarship to play softball at Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg.
    Knight, on St. Patrick’s Day, visited SMC and the trip to the Upstate campus made it easy to decide where she wanted to attend college and play.
    During her visit, Knight worked out with the Lady Pioneers’ team.

  • Warriors top BHS booters

      The Indian Land High boys soccer team stayed unbeaten in region play with a 4-1 win over Buford at Warriors Stadium on Tuesday night.

    The sixth-ranked Warriors built a 3-0 halftime lead on the way to their 11th win in 14 matches this season.

  • AJ, BHS net key region baseball wins

     

       

    Andrew Jackson and Buford notched key region wins Tuesday to aid their postseason baseball hopes.

    AJ blanked Indian Land and Buford rallied to down Central of Pageland.

  • Surging Lady Bruins notch two wins

    The Lancaster High Lady Bruins improved to 4-3 in region play with back-to-back road games this week.

    The LHS girls blanked Rock Hill 4-0 on Tuesday after posting an 11-1 win over Gaffney on Monday.

  • Central captures region tri-match golf victory

    Central captured a three-way Region IV-AA golf match with Buford and Andrew Jackson at the Lancaster Golf Club on Tuesday.

    Ben Miller shot a 36 to pace the CHS Eagles, who posted a 168. Matthew Terry tallied a 37 and Austin Terry carded a 44. Trent Hutto had a 51.

  • Cougars rally, top Bruins

    York snapped a 1-all tie with an eight-run sixth inning on the way to a 9-5 non-region baseball win over Lancaster at Doomsday Corner on Monday night.

    The Bruins, 10-9, rallied late, but couldn’t overcome the Cougars’ late lead.
