    Former Lancaster High School basketball star Sindarius Thornwell has been selected to play in the Under Armour Elite 24 game at Venice Beach Courts in Los Angeles, Ca.

    Lancaster High School freshman basketball player Keonte Mack had an exciting Saturday before startng his high school career.

    Mack, a 6-6, 205 player, was one of 53 players invited to participate in the Clemson University basketball elite camp.

    INDIAN LAND – Indian Land garnered the biggest grid scalp Friday night, taking a 19-12 win over Class AAAA foe Lancaster High School in the ninth annual Founders Federal Credit Union Kickoff Classic at IL’s Reservation.

    The Indian Land Warriors had plenty to celebrate Friday night in the ninth annual Founders Federal Credit Union Kickoff Classic at IL’s Reservation where the host IL team knocked off Class AAAA county foe Lancaster High School, 19-12 to cap the prep football jamboree action.

  • Bruins hold off Myers Park Mustangs

    It was only a jamboree, but it closed on an exciting note.
    Myers Park of Charlotte had one final shot to pull out a comeback win, but Mustangs’ rifled-armed quarterback Ross Jeffries’ 37-yard pass into the end zone fell incomplete and Lancaster held on for a 12-7 win over MPHS.
    The Mustangs’ drive came after the Bruins, down 7-6, drove 58 yards in eight plays to score the winning touchdown.

  • Crenshaw signs to play at Toccoa Falls

    Lancaster High School baseball standout Jonah Crenshaw is headed to a national championship program.
    Crenshaw, who also played in the Lancaster American Legion Post 31 baseball program, has signed to play at Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Ga.
    Toccoa Falls College has won back-to-back National Christian College Athletic Association Division II national crowns and three national titles in the last four seasons.

    CAMDEN – Buford and Andrew Jackson opened the formal 2012 preseason at the 37th annual Camden Shrine jamboree Friday night at Zemp Stadium.
    The Yellow Jackets exploded for three touchdowns and stifled North Central’s passing offense en route to a 20-0 shutout in the opening period of the prep football jamboree.
    Andrew Jackson played Class Lugoff-Elgin virtually even before falling 7-6 in the second period.
