    BUFORD – Buford High School’s home football clash with visiting Lewisville proved to be a tale of two halves.

    Unfortunately for the Jackets, the story didn’t have a happy ending, with Lewisville taking a hard-fought 21-14 win.

    BLYTHEWOOD – A return to Blythewood wasn’t the remedy the Lancaster Bruins were looking for in a 21-12 loss to the host Bengals on Friday night.

    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson quarterback Kolby Whitley accounted for five touchdowns, including three strikes to fleet receiver Quadarius Fair, in leading the Volunteers past Great Falls, 35-15 at Andrew Jackson on Friday night.

    The LHS Lady Bruins tennis team improved to 4-0 with a 6-0 victory over the York Lady Cougars on Tuesday night in Lancaster.

    The LHS team came out strong and didn’t drop a set to capture their third region win of the season.

    The Lancaster High Lady Bruins moved their volleyball mark to 4-2 with a 3-0 win over Fairfield Central High School of Winnsboro on Monday night in the LHS gym.

    The Lady Bruins disposed of the Lady Griffins, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-13.

    RICHBURG – Four county football standouts earned recognition at the weekly meeting of the Founders Federal Tri-County Football Coaches Association on Tuesday.

    Lancaster High School junior linebacker Quinshun Evans was honored along with three Andrew Jackson High ace players.

    Week four in the 2012 Lancaster County high school football season finds the teams focusing on streaks and skids.

    Two teams are hoping to extend their streaks.
