  • Lancaster swimmers sweep South Pointe

     

    The Lancaster High swim team posted a 261-101 win over Region IV-AAA rival South Pointe of Rock Hill on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

    The LHS girls downed SPHS, 132-49 and the Bruins topped the Stallions, 129-52. The girls results are listed first in each event.

    INDIAN LAND – Indian Land High School senior running back Charles Turner’s impact on the Warriors’ team won’t be found in the squad’s  statistics.

  • Coaches honor four in Tri-County awards

     

    Four Lancaster County high school football players were honored for their week three play at the weekly meeting of the Founders Federal Credit Union Tri-County Football Coaches Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Front Porch Restaurant in Richburg.

  • Lady Jackets’ hopes high for volleyball

     

    Buford High volleyball coach Taylor Roberts is confident the Lady Jackets can have a successful season this fall.

    Roberts, who has spent the last two seasons as a BHS assistant before being named the Lady Jackets head coach, said she feels the team is coming together.

  • LHS bids to extend streak

     

    Week four is highlighted with the start of region play, featuring a county rivalry, and the hope of keeping a streak intact.

    County rivals Andrew Jackson and Buford, who are each seeking to post their first win, will battle to open Region IV-AA play on Friday, Sept. 19.

  • LHS swimmers net home victory over South Pointe

     

    The Lancaster High School swim team moved its mark to 3-0 with a 229.5-108.5 Region IV-AAA win over South Pointe High School of Rock Hill at the Lancaster County pool.

    KERSHAW – This is not the senior season Andrew Jackson High School lineman Mason “Rock” Kirkley envisioned for his final campaign of football.

  • Coaches honor county quintet

     

    Five Lancaster County prep football players were honored for their week two play at the Tri-County Football Coaches Association meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

    A trio of Indian Land High School players were honored for their play in the Warriors’ 28-23 road loss to Blacksburg.

  • Lancaster High swim team posts two wins

     

    The Lancaster High School swim team opened the season with a pair of wins in a tri-meet with Midlands foes Ridge View and Blythewood.

    LHS defeated Ridge View 224-67 and Blythewood, 180-137.

  • Teams in host role Friday

     

    County prep football teams are hoping the home field edge plays a key role in their games Friday night, Sept. 12.

    All four county teams, in contrast to last week when all were on the road, will be in the host role this week.
