  • Vols net two soccer wins to launch season

     

    Andrew Jackson rolled to up its boys soccer mark to 2-0 on the season Wednesday, March 4.

    After a cold Tuesday night in Camden, the weather was warmer and better suited for soccer for both players and fans.

    Championship Saturday slate 

     The  No. 1 ranked Lancaster High School girls basketball team, 26-0, seek to cap the Lady Bruins’ season with a win over Class AAA Lower State champion Lakewood High School of Sumter County at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7.

  • Bruins hold off Vols in Comporium play

     The Lancaster Bruins improved to 2-1 in the Comporium Preseason Invitational high school baseball tournament with an 11-10 win over tourney co-host Andrew Jackson at the Volunteers’ field on Wednesday, March 4.

  • Warriors 2-0 in Comporium field

     The Indian Land Warriors are 2-0 in the Comporium Preseason Invitational high school baseball tournament with a 19-4 win over Lancaster on Monday, March 2, at the Andrew Jackson field.

    Indian Land opened the tourney with an 8-5 win over AJ on Saturday, Feb. 28.

    ANDERSON – Lancaster County was close in bringing home a state wrestling champion, but came up a win short.

  • Lady Bruins will face Lady Gators

     

    Class AAA Upper State champion Lancaster High School faces Class AAA Lower State champion Lakewood High School of Sumter County for the AAA girls state championship at the University of South Carolina’s Colonial Life Arena in Columbia at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7. 

  • Bruins golfers set to host Keenan Classic

     The Lancaster High School boys golf team will open its 2015 golf campaign with the Keenan Classic Invitational, a preseason prep golf tournament, Saturday, March 7 at the Lancaster Golf Club.

    The field includes 12 area high school golf teams competing in the inaugural tournament at the LGC.

  • BHS Jackets diamond hopes high

     The Buford High School Yellow Jackets view the 2015 season as their time to complete unfinished diamond business.

    The Jackets, who finished 14-9 in 2014, saw their season end in the Class AA district playoffs with back-to-back home losses to rival Indian Land.
