    Indian Land edged Class AAA rival Lancaster, 1-0 at IL’s Reservation on Wednesday, April 29.

    The Warriors tallied in the first half as Garrett Gerdes scored on an assist from Roscoe Lovejoy on a corner kick. 

  • Lady Vols win track title

     

    BUFORD – The Andrew Jackson High School Lady Volunteers captured top honors in the Region IV-AA track meet at Buford on Tuesday, April 28.

  • Bruins’ Jackson signs with Benedict

     

    When it came to selecting a college for her future, there was only one choice for Lancaster High School senior track standout Kaliya Jackson.

    “I visited other schools, but they just didn’t measure up to Benedict,” Jackson said.

  • Jackets, Vols win

    Buford and Andrew Jackson each posted first-round baseball wins in the Class AA district playoffs on Thursday, April 30.

    BHS, 23-0 and rated third in the final regular-season Class AA baseball poll, blanked Fairfield Central High of Winnsboro, 6-0 at Buford Park.

    Gage Hinson hurled the Jackets' win.

    AJ topped Pelion as the Volunteers took a 2-1 win over the Lions, with junior lefty Gunnar Lucas notching the win.

  • IL Warrior booters post wins

     

    Indian Land, 11-3, caps its boys soccer regular-season schedule with two matches this week.

    The Warriors host Lancaster for the annual IL senior night match tonight, Wednesday at IL’s Reservation.

  • Prep softball teams set for playoffs

     

    Lancaster County has four softball teams in the Upper State playoffs.

    Region IV-AA softball champion Andrew Jackson, 20-6, closed regular season play with a 5-1 win over Indian Land on Friday, April 24.

  • Buford wins, now 22-0

     The Buford Yellow Jackets capped a perfect regular season – 22-0, 12-0 – with a 12-1 baseball win over Central of Pageland at the CHS field on Monday, April 27.

    Jackets’ senior right-hander Evan Flynn worked four frames in the win, which was halted in the fifth frame due to the mercy rule.

  • Warriors rally, down Vols for region soccer crown

     

    Host Indian Land rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 5-4 win over Andrew Jackson at IL’s Reservation on Friday, April 24.

    AJ came out strong to build a 3-0 edge.

  • AJ Vols golfers extend unbeaten mark

     

    The unbeaten Andrew Jackson High School Volunteers golf team, 18-0, 14-0, won its final road match on Thursday, April 23 with a victory over Class A foe Great Falls.

    AJ junior ace Logan Sowell finished with a two-over 38 to take medalist honors.

  • Vols blank Warriors, notch second

     

    INDIAN LAND – The Andrew Jackson High School baseball team, in impressive fashion, sealed the Region IV-AA runner-up spot with a 12-0 league win over Indian Land at the IL field on Friday, April 24.

    AJ senior pitcher Kipp Rollings earned the win in six frames, notching 13 strikeouts and allowing a hit.
