BUFORD – Lancaster completed a season’s baseball sweep of county rival Buford High School, downing the Jackets, 14-9 in a high-scoring, slugfest at Buford Park on Monday night.
The Bruins, who defeated Buford, 2-1 on April 3 at home, built a 12-3 lead after six innings and held on for the five-run win.
Lancaster, with an eight-run second inning, took an 8-1 edge and stayed on top for the victory.
The teams combined for 27 hits in the game.
