  • Lady Warriors fall in tourney play

     

    Forest Hills of Union County, N.C., bolted to a 33-10 halftime lead and rolled to a 63-26 win over the Indian Land High girls in the opening round of the Forest Hills holiday basketball tournament on Thursday, Dec. 19.

  • Lady Bruins blitz Bearcats in region play

     

    ROCK HILL – Lancaster High School’s Region III-AAAA split with host Rock Hill had an early delight, but no victory taste in the nightcap Thursday, Dec. 19.

    The surging Lancaster girls posted their third straight win, taking a solid 54-27 victory over the Lady Bearcats.

  • Late surge lifts Buford

     

    GREAT FALLS – Buford capped a hoops sweep with a landmark victory on Thursday, Dec. 19.

    The Jackets took two at Great Falls High School, highlighted by a 60-58 win in the boys game.

  • LHS girls rally, top NWHS

     

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins finished strong to post an impressive comeback win over Northwestern to give LHS a split in its Region III-AAAA twin bill on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in Rock Hill.

    The LHS girls, with a 25-7 final period charge, ignited for a 62-51 win over the Lady Trojans in the varsity opener.

  • Lady Vols rebound, win

     

    KERSHAW – The Andrew Jackson Lady Vols rebounded from their first regular-season loss with a solid win over Lee Central’s girls for a split of the non-region twin bill on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the AJ gym.

  • IL grapplers have success in recent mat meets

     

    The Indian Land Warriors improved to 4-3 on the wrestling season after taking two wins over Class AAA foe Chester and York. The IL grapplers also fell to Union County in the four-way match on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

  • Warriors top Cavs in exciting victory

     

    The Indian Land Warriors moved their hoops mark to 3-1 with an exciting 51-49 road win over Cuthbertson High School of Union County, N.C., on Friday, Dec. 13.

  • Warriors savor North win

     

    MYRTLE BEACH – A gray, overcast day with intermittent rain couldn’t put a damper on shining moments for Indian Land High School’s participants in the 65th annual North-South All-Star game Saturday, Dec. 14 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.

  • Lady Vols corral Stallions

     

    The surging Andrew Jackson Lady Volunteers continued their solid hoops play with a 63-60 win over Lee Central to give AJ a split with host Stallions on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Bishopville.

    The AJ boys fell in the nightcap, 81-55.

  • LHS looking to hire 'high energy' coach

     

    Lancaster High School athletic director Mark Strickland said LHS will be searching for a coach with “high energy” as the Bruins’ new head football coach.
