  • Warriors tourney champs


    KERSHAW – The Indian Land Warriors prevailed in a hardwood battle to capture the boys championship in the Comporium Christmas Classic at Andrew Jackson High School on Monday, Dec. 29.

    The Warriors, 6-3, took the title with a tough 55-49 win over tournament host Andrew Jackson, IL’s region and county foe.

  • Prep teams continue holiday hoops play


    High school holiday hoops are wrapping up for some, while others are ready to tip off Yule tourney action in the area. 

    Play in the annual Comporium Christmas Classic at Andrew Jackson High School opened Saturday, Dec. 27 with a full slate of four games.

    Buford High’s Lady Jackets were coming off a motivating victory over North Central Thursday night. The Jackets were looking to continue their roll against Class A Great Falls at home Friday night, Dec. 19, in front of an excited home crowd.

    The story of the 2014 Lancaster County high school football season was the Lancaster Bruins.

    Two key reasons were first-year Lancaster High School coach Bobby Collins and Bruins’ senior defensive back Will Jackson. Their effort was a vital reason for the LHS success.

    Indian Land High School’s boys basketball team opened the 2014-15 Region IV-AA schedule with a first, and for the IL boys, they’re hoping it won’t last.

  • Lady Bruins surge to stay unbeaten


    The Lancaster Lady Bruins rolled on to remain unbeaten on the basketball season, but the LHS boys were plagued by cold shooting in a non-region home split with Nation Ford High School of Fort Mill on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

    The LHS girls, 9-0, ignited in the second half to notch a 58-42 home win over the Lady Falcons.

  • Vols top Jackets twice



    KERSHAW – The Andrew Jackson Volunteers have had some struggles on the hardwood as of late, but the Vols were on top of their game Tuesday night, Dec. 16 when they hosted county rival Buford in their Region IV-AA opener.

  • Lady Jackets swarm Lions for victory


    RICHBURG – Buford High School’s unbeaten girls basketball team returned to Richburg, where they began their winning streak on the 2014-15 season, and continued their stellar hardwood play at Lewisville High School on Friday, Dec. 12.
