West Oak will defend its Class AAA state wrestling championship Saturday afternoon.
The unbeaten WOHS Warriors, 26-0, won a battle of Warriors teams in defeating Region IV-AAA champion Indian Land, 49-15 for the Class AAA Upper State championship on Wednesday night at West Oak High School.
The ILHS Warriors, who finished a school-record 27-4, saw their state title run end with the loss.
West Oak, in the Class AAA state finals for the third time in four years, forged an early lead and stayed in control for the 34-point win.
