The Andrew Jackson Volunteers opened Region IV-AA baseball play, rolling to a 12-0 win over North Central in five innings at the Vols field on Monday night.
The game was scheduled for Tuesday, but moved to Monday with the forecast of rain in the area.
Griffin Gardner paced the AJ win, posting the win with nine strikeouts. He allowed two hits, no runs and no walks.
Will Hudson worked an inning and fanned two.
Gardner led the AJ offense with three hits, including two singles, and a three-run home run, and five RBIs.
