The Lancaster High School cross country teams opened their seasons with a fast start in a meet on Aug. 30.
“This year we have our largest team ever with over 35 total runners,” LHS coach Josh Pauling said. “It is exciting to see them participating and putting in the hard work to improve and be competitive in a new region this year.”
The LHS girls topped the field with 59 points.
The Lady Bruins were paced by Sydney Cauthen, 7, 25:15; Heather McCain, 8, 26:23; Sara Ava Shrum, 13, 27:46; Veronica Kail, 14, 27:48; Devan Moore, 17, 28:30.
