  • AJ unbeaten for Upstate title


    Back-to-back comeback wins have the Andrew Jackson Lady Volunteers in the Class AA Upper State championship softball game.

    The Lady Vols will host the Class AA Upstate title game Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m.

  • IL Warriors rally, net Upstate title soccer berth

     Host Indian Land, in a battle for its 2015 postseason soccer life, charged back to post a 3-2 win over upset-minded Pendleton High School at the IL Reservation on Saturday, May 9.

    The quick-striking Bulldogs forged a 2-0 edge at the half in the Class AA Upstate semifinals.

  • Warriors down Saluda, 4-1 for Upstate crown


    The Indian Land Warriors are playing for the Class AA state soccer title for the fourth straight season.

    The Warriors, 16-4, earned their bid to the Class AA title match with a 4-1 win over Saluda in the Class AA Upstate title match at IL's Reservation on Tuesday, May 12.

    The Warriors forged a 2-0 halftime edge on goals from Matt Medlock (direct kick) and Justin Penn off a Mason Heubsch assist.

  • Warriors roll on in soccer playoffs

     Indian Land posted its second straight shutout in the Class AA Upper State boys soccer playoffs with a 3-0 win over Cheraw on Thursday, May 7 at the IL Reservation.

    Justin Penn, Mason Heubsch and Henry Suvillaga each scored a goal to pace IL to the win.

  • Lady Bruins blank Lions


    Lancaster made the most of a single run on the way to winning the Class AAA Upper State District IV softball championship on Friday afternoon, May 8 at the LHS field.

  • Vols, Bruins win region golf crowns


    The unbeaten Andrew Jackson High School golf team, 25-0, 21-0 in region play, won the Region IV-AA golf tournament for the third consecutive year with a comeback win at the White Plains Country Club in Pageland.

  • Warriors post playoff soccer wins


    The top-seeded Indian Land Warriors blanked Buford 6-0 to open the Class AA Upper State playoffs on Tuesday, May 5 at IL’s Reservation.

    Justin Penn had a goal in each half to lead the Warriors, who held a 2-0 lead at the break.

  • Lady Vols blank Wolverines, advance


    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson posted its third straight postseason shutout to win the Class AA Upper State District IV softball championship on Wednesday, May 6 at the Lady Volunteers’ field.

    AJ, 23-6, blanked Woodruff, 4-0 behind senior pitcher Hannah Cobb, 18-4. She struck out nine Lady Wolverines and allowed three hits and a walk.

  • Vols capture district title



    KERSHAW – Andrew Jackson, its back to the wall in the Class AA Upper State District I baseball playoffs, battled back for a 3-1 win over Abbeville High School to win the district title and a bid to the Class AA Upstate title series Wednesday, May 8.

  • Warriors host Lady Jackets in soccer playoffs after wins



    Indian Land built a 5-0 halftime lead on the way to a 10-0 win over Mid-Carolina in the opening round of the Class AA Upper State girls soccer playoffs on Monday, May 4.
