  • Braves ignite to down Warriors for region split

     

    Indian Land High School’s boys basketball team opened the 2014-15 Region IV-AA schedule with a first, and for the IL boys, they’re hoping it won’t last.

  • Lady Bruins surge to stay unbeaten

     

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins rolled on to remain unbeaten on the basketball season, but the LHS boys were plagued by cold shooting in a non-region home split with Nation Ford High School of Fort Mill on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

    The LHS girls, 9-0, ignited in the second half to notch a 58-42 home win over the Lady Falcons.

    KERSHAW – The Andrew Jackson Volunteers have had some struggles on the hardwood as of late, but the Vols were on top of their game Tuesday night, Dec. 16 when they hosted county rival Buford in their Region IV-AA opener.

    RICHBURG – Buford High School’s unbeaten girls basketball team returned to Richburg, where they began their winning streak on the 2014-15 season, and continued their stellar hardwood play at Lewisville High School on Friday, Dec. 12.

  • Knight signs to run for CIU Rams

     

    Michael Knight is striding for the next level.

    Knight, a Buford High School standout track and cross country runner, is bound for Columbia International University in Columbia to run on the Rams’ track and cross country teams.

    MYRTLE BEACH – A tough ending to their final high school football game couldn’t tarnish an otherwise memorable beach week for the Lancaster County quartet in the 67th annual North-South All-Star football game.

  • County quartet set for North-South All-Star contest Saturday

     

    The 67th annual North-South All-Star game will feature a Lancaster County ace quartet.

    The group includes three star senior players along with Andrew Jackson High School head football coach David Moore.

  • Buford nets second mat win over LHS

     

    The Buford Yellow Jackets completed a mat sweep of Class AAA county rival Lancaster with a 46-36 wrestling win over the Bruins on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in the BHS gym.

    Buford, 2-0, opened its season with a 51-30 victory over the Bruins in the LHS gym on Dec. 4.

  • Lady Bruins down Camden, stay unbeaten

     

    The Lancaster Lady Bruins finished strong to stay unbeaten on the 2014-15 prep basketball campaign with a 55-35 win over Camden at CHS on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

    The Lady Bruins’ 20-point win gave LHS a split after the LHS boys dropped an 82-78 loss to the Bulldogs.

  • Bruins honor fall stars

     

    A fall full of athletic rises was celebrated at the annual Lancaster High School fall sports awards on Wednesday, Dec. 10 in the LHS auditorium.

    Six playoff teams, including region championships for swimming and volleyball, highlighted the awards.
