  • Warriors to wear Panthers’ jerseys

    The Indian Land Warriors have been honored by the NFL Carolina Panthers.
    The Warriors’ football team, which opens practice today, July 31, is a recipient of the Panthers’ High School Uniform Grant.
    “We are honored to be able to provide you with 53 blue practice jerseys worn by Carolina Panthers,” said Peter Vacho, the Carolina Panthers military and outreach manager. “We are pleased to strengthen your already accomplished program.”

  • Football drills open today

    Lancaster County high school football teams will hit the field today, July 31 to tackle the challenge of the 2015 season.
    Camps at Andrew Jackson, Buford, Indian Land and Lancaster will get underway with drills on the first day of preseason high school football practice around the state.
    Opening drills are limited to light gear as the teams focus on conditioning.

  • Dixie all-stars stay alive

     

    The Lancaster Dixie Baseball AAA all-stars, ages 9-10, won in dramatic fashion to keep alive their state title hopes on Monday night, July 21 in the Dixie Youth AAA state tournament at Nettles Park in Clemson.

    The Lancaster Class AAA stars eliminated host Clemson, 8-6 in an exciting win to stay in contention.

  • County softball stars enjoy North-South play

     The Class AA-AAA North all-stars went 1-1 in the North-South All-Star Softball Classic at USC Aiken to finish as the two-day runner-up, but coach Kim Perry’s reaction was more like a title sweep.

  • Rollings leads all-star effort

     

    MYRTLE BEACH – Andrew Jackson High School’s Kipp Rollings had an impressive showing to cap his prep baseball career over the weekend, June 12-13.

  • County quartet set for N-S softball

     

    Lancaster County will have a strong contingent for the annual North-South All-Star softball tournament at USC Aiken on June 17-18.

  • IL trio in N-S soccer play

     

    Indian Land High School will have solid representation for the annual North-South Soccer All-Star weekend in Charleston, June 12-13.

    The Warriors will have veteran ILHS girls coach Mark Bonda in the North-South All-Star girls match on Saturday, June 13 at noon at the College of Charleston Stadium in Mount Pleasant.

  • Ace county quartet in North-South game

     

    Lancaster County will have its share of diamond representation at the annual North-South All-Star baseball game June 12-13 at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

    Buford High School head coach Eric Funderburk along with Stanley Moss of Emerald High School in Greenwood will guide the Class AAA-AA North all-star squad in the tournament.

  • Warrior soccer heads IL spring awards

     

    The four-time Class AA state runner-up Indian Land Warriors’ boys soccer team led the royal blue and gold honorees at the annual Indian Land spring sports awards in the IL gym on Tuesday, May 26.

  • BHS baseball leads honors

     

    The Buford High School baseball team, which posted a 25-2 record, led the maroon and gold honorees at the annual BHS winter-spring sports awards at the Lancaster County Class AA high school on Tuesday, May 26.
