  • Nationals solid in district tournament
      The Lancaster Dixie Baseball AA National League all-stars rolled to a 26-1 win over Lancaster American to remain as the lone unbeaten team in the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 baseball tournament at Ronnie Gandy Field in the Wylie Park Complex on Monday, June 16. Lancaster National stars, ages 7-8, were led by Adam Wright, who was 3-4 with two triples.
  • Warrior Salute tournament June 28
      The Warrior Salute Golf Tournament is set to tee off Saturday, June 28 at the Lancaster Golf Club. The tournament, which benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, is an 18-hole captain’s choice tournament which has drawn 32 teams for the event with a shotgun start just after noon.

      The Lancaster Dixie Youth Baseball Program is hosting the S.C. Dixie Youth District 2 AA Machine Pitch tournament this weekend. The AA league includes players ages 7-8.
  • Juniors top Rock Hill, 2-1
      The Lancaster Post 31 Legion baseball junior team continues to prevail in tight games. The P-31 juniors, 5-2, edged Rock Hill Post 34, 2-1 on Tuesday, June 10 at Lancaster’s Eggleton Field.
  • Veterans lead junior golfers in opener
      Veteran players paced play in the 20th annual Lancaster chapter of the S.C. Junior Golf Association season opening tournament Monday, June 9 at the Lancaster Golf Club. Brady Hinkle, a Lancaster High School all-region golfer, led the boys 13-14 age division with a one-under 71 from the white tees.

      Former Lancaster High School baseball standout C.D. Pelham was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 25th round of the annual Major League Baseball Draft on Saturday, June 7.
  • Dixie Baseball honors top performers
        Lancaster Dixie Baseball honored top players, coaches and teams at the annual LDB Awards Day at the Wylie Park Complex on Saturday, June 7.
  • CPTC nets 46 medals at LR meet
      The Columbus Parker Track Club earned 46 medals at a meet held at Lower Richland High School in Hopkins earlier this spring. The CPTC, a Lancaster youth track team, was led by Rekia Polk and Alexanderia Williams who had two firsts each in the meet.
