The University of South Carolina at Lancaster baseball team raised its record to 7-4 with a sweep of the Coker College junior varsity on Thursday afternoon at the Lancaster High School baseball field. The Lancers posted a 7-4 win over the Junior Cobras in the opener and completed the sweep with a 9-3 win over visiting CC.

The University of South Carolina at Lancaster men’s tennis team defeated the Pfeiffer University junior varsity team, 8-1 on Thursday afternoon at the J.P. Richards Tennis Complex.

The Lancaster County Parks and Recreation Commission will host the U14 Central District tournament this weekend at the Springdale Rec Center. The four-team field opens play Saturday at 10 a.m. when the Lancaster U14 all-stars play. The tourney winner moves to the state field the following weekend.

The University of South Carolina at Lancaster Lancers’ baseball team split a twin bill with the Limestone junior varsity, taking the nightcap 6-3 on Wednesday in Gaffney. The Lancers, 4-2, dropped the opener to the Junior Saints, 10-7.
