      Lancaster High School senior track and cross county standout Wylie Penegar repeated the feet feat at the second annual 5K Race for Literacy road race on Saturday at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster.

The University of South Carolina at Lancaster captured the final game of a four-game set to go 1-3 with Florence-Darlington Tech in Region X baseball play over the weekend. The Lancers took a 6-5 win over the Stingers to earn a split of the twin bill at the Lancaster High School baseball field on Sunday.

Good golf for a good cause were the highlights in the third annual A.R. Rucker Middle School BAC (Buddies Against Cancer) captain’s choice golf tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Lancaster Golf Club. The event was originally set for March 26, but was postponed due to a rainout.

      Spartanburg Methodist snapped a 4-all tie with a run in the seventh inning and added three in the eighth for an 8-4 baseball win over the University of South Carolina at Lancaster at Chester High School on Wednesday afternoon.
