Indian Land residents are paying up to 17 cents more per gallon for gas than folks in Lancaster, Fort Mill (Valero charges $2.44), Rock Hill and even Tega Cay.
When you ask the business owners at the S.C. 160/U.S. 521 and Marvin Road and Doby’s Bridge intersections why, they say to attract North Carolina customers.
They don’t reduce prices to equal the other South Carolina communities. They only want to entice the North Carolina folks for profits while fleecing local residents. I would surmise that many of the South Carolina residents do not even know it.
