People who are receiving federal emergency unemployment compensation (EUC) are soon seeing a change in their benefits. The U.S. Department of Labor requires that all benefit payments for the period of March 1, 2013, and Sept. 30, 2013, must be reduced through automatic, across-the-board spending cuts to the federal budget.
If someone is receiving benefits during this time period, there are three weeks that they will not receive benefits – May 18, July 13 and Aug. 31.
