I haven’t written to the newspaper in several years. I enjoyed Kershaw resident Charles Ussery’s column about the Heath Springs High School’s football team during the 1950s. I wanted to let him know how much I liked the column, but I got busy and did not write anything.
Like the wardrobe doors that lead to Narnia, the doors of the Barr Street Auditorium, 612 E. Meeting St., open at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Oct. 17, for Community Playhouse of Lancaster County’s production of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”
Freeman Burns is a breath of fresh air. He offers us strength, innovation and a pro-active look into the future of our children.
Our district is growing in leaps and bounds. We have more students to educate and more students for which to build a better future. Mr. Burns will fight for our children, which ultimately means he will also be fighting for a better tomorrow for all.
