I would like to thank everyone who works at the Lancaster Convalescent Center who helped care for my mother, Sarah Mickles, during her stay there. They made her as comfortable as possible.
I know there are a lot of unsung heroes, but your work and kindness are such a blessing to my mother and me. I want to give you a pat on the back.

I am writing concerning the way the city of Lancaster and and the county responded to the recent snow and ice storm. The roads in Lancaster were in bad condition. Some form of salt should have been applied to the roads earlier. Even dirt would have been better than nothing.
It is time for a change. The schools were closed all week due to this. There has to be a better way to take control of the situation. Where we live, we were stuck in our own yards for two days. I was unable to go to work until Friday.

With this horrible shooting in Arizona the left has come out again and is showing its true, disgusting nature. They have come out and have tried to show a connection to Sarah Palin, and the tea party. This is insanity. There is no connection between these two and this sick demented person.

Trust The Lancaster News to turn the Tucson, Ariz., tragedy into another feel-good moment for U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney.
In an article on Jan. 12, Mulvaney claimed to be shocked by the carnage that resulted in six deaths, including a federal judge and a 9-year-old, and 14 injuries, including the critical wounding of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
In truth, Mulvaney has been at the forefront of the terrible incivility in politics that may have contributed to the Arizona attack.
