I am writing to share the outrage I felt as I read the story, “Father gets one year for incest” in the December 12, 2012, issue of The Lancaster News.  
How can it be that a man who committed such a dreadful crime be given a suspended 15-year sentence to just one year?
As a teacher and therapeutic foster parent, I have witnessed first-hand the challenges and devastation that face children who have endured child abuse from a parent – the one who is suppose to love and protect them.

The United States is nearing an economic collapse, leaving more than $16.3 trillion of debt to our children, their children, etc., with accounts payable to China, Saudi Arabia and others.

President Barack Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats continue to demand more tax increases now, with promised spending reductions further down the road of future years. Capitol Hill Democrats never deliver except in cutting our U.S. military budget.

According to information presented at the Nov. 26 Lancaster County Council meeting, at its Nov. 19 meeting Lancaster City Council voted to retain its own 911 center and will not participate in the E-911 Center being developed by the county.
