As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods – merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor.
This year will be different. This year, Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift-giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes, there is!

Many years ago as a small boy sitting at a crowded and noisy Thanksgiving dinner, I learned a valuable lesson about turkey, politics and priorities. It is a lesson that our national and state politicians have yet to learn – and it’s hurting all of us.

Thanksgiving is a special time to ponder, pray and be reminder of the true meaning of thanksgiving. It is a great time to rest, reflect and give thanks unto the Lord for all he has done in and during our lives.
Thanksgiving is a time to be reminiscent and grateful to be alive and to reach out and express our love and kindness toward our family, friends, neighbors, leaders and country. Give thanks unto the Lord for he is good and his love is everlasting.

Like most folks, I’ve been a bit put out with our Congress lately. It seems like they’ve put ideology before the well-being of the American citizens they are supposed to represent. Their mindset seems to be, “Well, if I can’t get everything I want, then nobody’s going to get anything.”
