For two solid weeks, Lancaster Motor Speedway sat silent on Saturday nights, a victim of much-needed rain. Saturday, it looked as though mother nature would again wash out LMS, but the skies broke by evening, and crews worked hard to prepare the surface for competition.
Under cloudy skies, the Young Guns launched action. Opening night winner Andrew Blackwood paced the field outside of Austin Baker. At the green, Blackwood powered through the gears, taking the early lead, but Baker drove his orange and white Nova in a bit deeper than the 57, and took the top spot by turn two.
