A Lancaster man is in a Charlotte hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.
Gonza Mackey, 24, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet sedan about 3 a.m. along U.S. 521 when he collided with a 1984 Chevrolet driven by Kendrick Cook, 27, of Lancaster, said Sgt. Mike Burgess of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Mackey was traveling north when Cook, who was on the southbound shoulder, made a U-turn into Mackey's path, a report said.
Mackey was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was listed in serious condition Tuesday.
