  • Office of LCEDC could move

    The Lancaster County Economic Development Corp. is searching for a new home, and county officials have an idea where it should go. 

    Faced with water leaks and mold issues, the staff of the LCEDC has been looking to relocate its office on West Gay Street for years. That’s where Lancaster County Council comes in. 

    At its Feb. 22 meeting, council members discussed a plan to move the LCEDC from its current office to a space in the County Administration Building.

    The Lancaster High Lady Bruins launched defense of their two-time Chester Preseason Soccer Tournament championship with a 4-2 win over county rival Indian Land on Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

    The LHS girls built a 2-1 halftime lead on the way to the win which opened play in the three-day event.

  • Lancers sweep Coker jayvees

    The University of South Carolina at Lancaster baseball team raised its record to 7-4 with a sweep of the Coker College junior varsity on Thursday afternoon at the Lancaster High School baseball field.

    The Lancers posted a 7-4 win over the Junior Cobras in the opener and completed the sweep with a 9-3 win over visiting CC.

  • USCL lifeguard course, swim classes set

    A lifeguard training course will be held at the Gregory Health and Wellness Center at USCL Prerequisites must be completed by March 24.

    Prerequisites schedule is March 7-10 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., or 7-8 p.m., or March 21-24, 7-8 p.m.
