HEATH SPRINGS – During citizen’s comments at the Heath Springs Town Council meeting Tuesday, Feb. 24, a Cauthen Street resident told council members she has trashed limbs near the front of her house that have been there “since July last year.”
S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley declared a state of emergency for 31 counties, including Lancaster County, at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 25, in anticipation of a winter storm that is expected to roll across the state tonight and early Thursday, Feb. 26.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently awarded more than $20 million to public housing authorities in South Carolina, including the Lancaster Housing Authority, which received $195,714.
