    On Tuesday, the Columbia City Ballet is coming to Lancaster for the first time to perform "The Nutcracker." But there's a bonus.

    Dancing with the professionals will be 55 students from area dance studios.

  • Local woman pleads in cyclists' deaths

    CHESTERFIELD – A Lancaster woman has pleaded guilty for the highway deaths of two Fort Mill motorcyclists in Chesterfield County more than two years ago.

    Tenisha Robinson, 24, 1087 10th St., Lancaster, pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter during a Nov. 5 court appearance in Chesterfield. She received five years in state prison, suspended to three years of prison time and two years of probation.

  • Man, 24, faces charges in church burglaries

    Authorities say one man was responsible for multiple church break-ins in the area over the last two weeks.

    The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has charged Joseph Geddings, 24, of 785 W. Brooklyn Ave., with eight counts of second-degree burglary.

    Geddings was arrested Monday morning not long after he broke into First Washington Baptist Church on Meeting Street, according to authorities.

    He pried open a door to the church and stole a stereo and a gold cross, said Sgt. Kristen Grant of the Lancaster Police Department.
