INDIAN LAND – The construction project for the Pleasant Valley Fire Department’s new fire station now has a contractor.
Fire Chief Greg Nicholson announced the project’s contractor at Lancaster County Council’s Jan. 25 meeting. Nicholson told council the department opened the project’s bid process Dec. 15 and received bids from 13 contractors.
Indian Land-based Farley Associates Inc. submitted the winning bid of $2,141,673.
Nicholson said the bid, which breaks down to $143.63 per square foot, is a good price for the project.
