Martavious Carter admitted Friday to setting the historic Lancaster County Courthouse ablaze on Aug. 4, 2008.
Carter pleaded guilty to the arson, which severely damaged one of the county’s most historically significant buildings. He also pleaded guilty to setting fire to the 6th Circuit Solicitor’s Office on Dunlap Street on Aug. 7, 2008.
Carter also pleaded guilty to five armed-robbery charges.
He was arrested in late September 2008 and charged with 31 offenses, including the two fires and five armed robberies in the downtown Lancaster area.
