Reforming state government, increasing education funding and growing the job sector are issues in South Carolina’s 2010 gubernatorial race.
Republican Nikki Haley of Lexington and Democrat Vincent Sheheen of Camden are the two major candidates in the race.
Both candidates serve in the Statehouse. Haley represents the 87th House district. Sheheen represents the 27th Senate district. The winner of the race will succeed Republcan Mark Sanford, who is finishing his second term.
