The lights went out for some Lancaster County residents Wednesday morning as high winds swept through the area.
Duke Energy spokesman Rick Jiran said heavy rains Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning saturated the ground, and trees and limbs fell more easily across power lines.
“These were wind-related outages,” Jiran said.
Power has been restored for Lancaster County residents, Jiran said.
Jiran said power company officials continued to watch the weather Wednesday afternoon. Winds are expected to remain gusty until about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
