ABERDEEN, Miss. – A Lancaster man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a black-market cigarette conspiracy.
According to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, in mid-July, U.S. District Judge Sharon Aycock sentenced Fred Brackett to 15 months in prison and ordered him to pay $206,000 in restitution.
Brackett, owner of FB Enterprises on Charlotte Highway, will be allowed to turn himself in at a designated prison on Sept. 10. It is unknown where that prison is.
