HEATH SPRINGS – Sometimes, history just falls through the cracks.
Sure, it’s remembered by some through faded newspaper clippings pressed inside of a book, or perhaps through delicate, fragile court records bundled in string or listed in ledgers that haven’t seen very much daylight in the last 100 years.
But it’s still a story that must be told, that must be remembered, especially when it involves a police officer killed in the line of duty.
