A man driving a Honda Civic was taken to the hospital Wednesday after he was struck by an 18-wheeler at the intersection of S.C. 9 Bypass and Meeting Street/Camp Creek Road.
Lancaster police got a call at 6:20 p.m. about the accident. When officers arrived, the truck was rammed into the right side of the Honda, Sgt. Paul Smith said.
According to witnesses, Tracey Jeffcoat, the driver of the truck, was traveling east on S.C. 9 Bypass and the Honda was coming from Camp Creek Road, heading through the intersection to Meeting Street, Pfc. Dustynn Burlingame said.
