The city of Lancaster has allocated additional money to go toward improvements at parks throughout the city.
City Council voted unanimously March 8 to approve a request for funding by the Lancaster County Joint Recreation Commission, which oversees parks in the county.
The bulk of the approved $45,574 will be applied during the 2011-12 budget year, with just $4,184 being allocated this year.
