A University of South Carolina Lancaster professor was severely injured after she was hit by a pickup truck late Thursday night.
USCL foreign languages professor Nathalie Davaut, 44, of Gastonia, N.C., was walking across Hubbard Drive near the university when she was struck at about 9 p.m., according to a Lancaster Police Department incident report.
The incident was also confirmed by John Rutledge, director of law enforcement and security for USCL.
