    ATLANTA – Lisa Monique Clyburn, 41, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
    She was born July 16, 1970, to Luberta Sloan and Leroy Clyburn. After the death of her mother, she was later reared by her father and Genester Clyburn. She graduated from Cleveland Heights School in Ohio. Lisa was a friendly, loving and outgoing person.

    Lancaster – Helen Lee Taylor Wright, 68, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012.
    She was the daughter of the late William Minor Taylor and Mary Lee Eller Taylor.
    Survivors include her husband, Ronald M. Wright; a son, Tony Wright of Rock Hill; two sisters, Edna Robinson  of Monroe and Pauline Threatt of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.  
    The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8,  at the home of Ronald Wright, 2648 Charlotte Highway.

    Helen Lee Taylor Wright, 68
    Helen Lee Taylor Wright, 68, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at her home.
    She was born March 2, 1943, in Van Wyck, a daughter of the late William Minor Taylor and Mary Lee Eller Taylor. She was a member of Shiloh ARP Church. She was married to Ronald M. Wright for 54 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved taking care of Ronald and her grandchildren.
    There will be a service held later.

    Paul Brown Threatt, 81
    Paul Brown Threatt, 81, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born January 30, 1930 in Lancaster, a son of the late Hervey Porter Threatt and Callie Jordan Threatt.  Mr. Threatt attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He had retired from Springs Industries after 48 years of service.

    John David Taylor, 64, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in Kings Mountain, N.C. He was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Lancaster, a son of the late William David Taylor and Grace Frances McDonald Taylor. Mr. Taylor enjoyed building and driving dirt track race cars.
    A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Taylor will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at the chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Revs. Chris Ballard and Ronnie Ayton officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.

     Jean Bingham Helms, 80
    MONROE – Jean Bingham Helms, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2011. Jean was born in Union County on May 10, 1931. She attended Mineral Springs High School, where she was a cheerleader and she graduated in 1949.
    Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas L. Helms; her second husband, Hal L. McNeely; a grandson, Matthew C. McCoy; and all of her siblings.

    Elizabeth Verdi Adams Ellis, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.
    She was the daughter of the late Manley Adams and Alice Gardner Adams.
    Survivors include three sons, Ricky F. Ellis, Billy W. Ellis and Bobby Ray, all of Lancaster; a daughter, Tammy Sims of Lancaster; a brother, Clyde Adams of Lancaster; one sister, Linda Allen of Lancaster; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

    George L. Davis, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.  
    He was the son of the late Hosie and Goldie Stacks Davis.
    Survivors include a son, Willie James Davis of Charlotte; four daughters, Carol Parker of Charlotte, Denise Simpson of Baltimore, Md., Cynthia Blair and Loretta Clark of Lancaster; a sister, Nettie Mae Washington of Waxhaw, N.C.; and a brother, Arthur Davis of Fort Mill.

    Eddie Lee Cunningham, 74, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012.
    He was the son of the late Oscar and Edna Dunlap Cunningham.
    Survivors include two sisters, Betty Cunningham and the Rev. Diana Clinton, both of Lancaster; and a brother, A. Walter Cunningham of Lancaster.
    Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Crawford Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen.
    Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 4, 2012, at Crawford Funeral Home.
