Emergency crews have been working the scene of a logging truck accident on the Rock Hill Highway (S.C. 5) bridge over the Catawba River.
The accident happened about 9:11 a.m Friday, Aug. 28, when a logging truck and Honda vehicle collided head-on, said Lancaster County Fire Rescue Deputy Director Darren Player. One person from the Honda was flown to an area hospital.
The accident closed both lanes bringing traffic to a standstill for about two hours Friday morning. Emergency officials reopened one of the lanes about 11:10 a.m.
