    Thomas Edward Price, 68

    JEFFERSON Thomas Edward Price, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.

    Survivors include two sisters, Doris Belk Funderburk and Joyce Price; five brothers, Tommy Price, Ricky Price, both of Jefferson, Jackie Price of Lancaster, John Dick Price of McBee and Marshall Price of Midland, N.C.

    He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Heyward Price.

    Graveside services were Monday at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

  • USCL students chill during exam week

    Posing like a rock star is one way students at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster have been able to relieve the stress that comes at the end of the semester.

    Some shoot pool and play ping-pong and others simply break to socialize. Inside the student center at USCL's Starr Hall, you're bound to see students engage in a host of activities to take their mind off the pressures of final exams, which began Monday and will run through Dec. 17.

    Rhonda Sue Cauthen, 44

    AYNOR - Rhonda Sue Cauthen, 44, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007.

    Born Sept. 24, 1963, in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Benton Sims and the late John T. Sims.

    Survivors include two sons, Robert Bob Campbell of Myrtle Beach and Louis Taylor of Aynor; a grandchild; a sister, Teresa Annette Sims of Lancaster; and four brothers, Ronnie Benton, Junior Cauthen, Philip Cauthen and John T. Sims Jr., all of Lancaster.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Ola Benton.

    No services will be held.

    Betty Richardson Yandle, 73

    LUGOFF -Betty Richardson Yandle, 73, formerly of Kershaw, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007.

    Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Bertha KnightRichardson. She was a Presbyterian.

    Survivors include two sons, Gerald Ray Rick Yandle Jr. of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Christopher Chris Yandle of Oceanside, Calif.

    She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Mickie Blair, Polly Epting, Norma Holms and Virginia R. Gardner.
