Thomas E. Sr. and Mary L. Jackson Cunningham celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2, 2013, with a dinner at Logan’s Road House given by their children.
The Cunninghams were married Oct. 24, 1963, in Heath Springs.
The couple has four children, Thomas E. Cunningham Jr. and his wife, Ann, Juanita Richardson, Angela Huger and her husband, Joseph, and the late David L. Cunningham. They have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Magan Rebecca Parker and Sabino Zani Jr., M.D., were married July 13, 2013, at Duke University Chapel in Durham, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of Becky and Gerald Parker of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dixon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parker. She is a 1999 graduate of Lancaster High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina in 2003 and a master’s degree in nursing from Duke University in 2013. She is a nurse anesthetist at Duke University Medical Center.
Kristen Danielle Steranka and Charles Eric Applewhite, both of Columbia, were married March 9, 2013, at 701 Whaley in Columbia by the Rev. Mark McMinn.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Joni Steranka of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of Thomas and Ruby Bailey of Lancaster and of Charlotte Steranka of Pittsburgh, Pa., and the late John Steranka. She is a 2006 graduate of Lancaster High School and a 2011 graduate of Anderson University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is a commercial designer at Miller’s Inc., in Columbia.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wick Skinner of Fairhope, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Anna Lindsay and the late Malcolm Lindsay and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wickliffe Skinner Jr. She is a graduate of Campbell University and received a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of South Carolina.
