  • Smiths celebrate 25 years

    Mark and Teresa Knight Smith celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5, 2013.
    They were honored July 20 with a dinner given by their family at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant and later with a cruise to Belize.
    The couple was married Aug. 5, 1988 in Lancaster. They have one son, Mark Allen Smith and his fiancée, Meagan Webster, and two daughters, Kayla Smith and Terra Smith and her fiancé, Steven Smith. They have two grandsons, Tanner and Copper Smith.

    Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. White of Auburn, Mass., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Ann White, to Jayson Randall Jordan, both of Lexington.
    The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Oct. 13, 2013 at The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn in Hilton Head Island.

    Miss Branham is the granddaughter of David and Evon Branham of Heath Springs and of the late Jerome and Norma Baker.
    She is a 2009 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and is a self-employed hair stylist.
    Mr. Adams is the son of Kaywood Adams of Kershaw and Penny Bowers of Lancaster.

    Miss Waldrop is the granddaughter of Roy and Jean Harris of Burnsville, N.C., Pamela McManus of Lancaster, Betty Waldrop of Hickory, N.C., and the late William Waldrop Sr.
    She is a 2010 graduate of Lancaster High School and works for Founders Federal Credit Union.

    Crystal Vincent Baker and Jonathan Earl Bradley were married at 2 p.m. June 19, 2013 in Huntington Beach by the Rev. Benjy Simmons.
    The bride is the daughter of Dr. Rebecca Vincent and of Dennis Vincent. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education. She is a first grade teacher at McDonald Green Elementary School.

    Kathleen Paige Estes and Troy Lee Yarborough Jr. were married July 20, 2013 at Legare Waring House in Charleston.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Slaughter and of Frank Estes III, all of Orangeburg. She is the granddaughter of Lucille Keegan of Orangeburg. She is a 2004 graduate of Orangeburg Preparatory School and a 2008 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a marketing and practice specialist for Charlotte Radiology.

    Caroline Ashley Hammond and Brian McGill Burton were married at noon April 27, 2013, at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, N.C., by Dr. Bert Welch.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hammond of Lancaster. She is a graduate of Lancaster High School and of Clemson University.
    The groom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Michael Burton of East Grand Rapids, Mich. He is a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School and Berklee College of Music in Boston.
    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

    Miss Findlay is the granddaughter of Donald and Carol Findlay of Dunellon, Fla. She is a 2000 graduate of Shelby High School and a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in biological sciences. She is a physical therapist assistant.
