Rolly G. and Betty Elkins Dawkins of Lancaster celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows on Feb. 7, 2015, at Mount Calvary AME Zion Church. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Dr. Robert E. Christian Sr. and Rev. Roosevelt Alexander.
The couple was married Feb. 5, 1965, in Newberry. They have three daughters and four grandchildren. Betty is a retired cafeteria worker and Rolly is a Vietnam veteran and pastor of Mount Calvary AME Zion Church.

She is now a semi-retired jewelry designer.

Hampton and Bertie Tucker Hinson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 17 with a reception given by their family at The Church of God in Fort Lawn. The couple married Jan. 18, 1955 in Lancaster.
The couple has three children, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Hampton is retired from International Paper Company and now pastors The Church of God.
Bertie worked at Springs Industries and several sewing plants and retired as a homemaker.
