The bride is the daughter of Marlene Gorley of Lubbock, Texas, and the late Thomas Gorley. She is the granddaughter of the late Lucille and Richard Miller and the late Doris and Frances Gorley. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1980 and Winthrop University in 2001. She is the editor of Carolina Gateway newspaper and special publications editor for The Lancaster News.
