    Yow recognized as a Health Policy Fellow

    Rep. Richie Yow was recognized Jan. 28 as a Health Policy Fellow by the S.C. Institute of Medicine and Public Health. 

    The Health Policy Fellows Program is comprised of a series of evidence-based interactive presentations and discussions with national and state experts where elected officials can come together in a neutral environment to explore state health challenges, the health care system and how health care is financed.

    Barbecue at Union Baptist

    Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, will have a barbecue fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) today for its mission trip this summer. One pound of barbecue or plates including barbecue, baked beans, slaw, bread and cake are $8 each.
