    Rabies clinic

    Faulkner Animal Hospital will host a rabies clinic at several locations from 6 to 8 p.m. The clinic will offer rabies shots ($5), distemper/parvo shot ($16), bordetella or kennel cough ($16) each for dogs, and 4-way feline distemper ($16), FIV-feline ($16) and FELV-feline ($16) each for cats.     Week ahead

    Benefit for Rick

    A benefit motorcycle ride for Rick Plyler will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Buford Sports Cafe, 1423 N. Rocky River Road. The cost is $25 for double riders and $15 for a single. Best hand wins $200 and worst hand wins $50. Stops include Frog’s, Big Daddy’s, Cousey’s and Buford Sports Cafe. Rain date is April 20. Proceeds benefit expenses for eye surgery to prevent blindness. Garden sites will be provided free for participants to grow their own produce. Free seeds and plants will be provided for participants.     Autism day camp
    A camp for children with autism will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 4-8 at Chastain Studio, 107 S. Main St., Lancaster. The camp is for children ages six to 12. Applications are available and the fee is $100 per child, which includes the cost of snacks and materials for activities. Activities include building birdhouses, painting, clay, mixed media and animal therapy. Each child will be able to participate in two activities.
    Space is limited.
