A Lancaster woman was airlifted to a Charlotte hospital after a stabbing at a Twilight Road nightclub shortly before midnight Monday.

Deputies were called to Club 273 because of a stabbing and gunshots fired there, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Deputies were flagged down by a woman in the parking lot of nearby Cook’s Transmission shop. She was there with the victim, who was lying in the parking lot. The stabbing victim’s clothes were covered in blood, the report said.

The report said deputies tried to talk to the victim about the incident but she did not respond to questions.

Lancaster County Emergency Medical Services treated the woman, who is in her 30s, and she was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was released from the hospital Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Witnesses told deputies that they saw the victim fighting with another woman inside the club. One witness said she saw a woman cut the victim. The victim then ran after the woman who stabbed her and collapsed in the parking lot.

Gunshots also fired

About the same time as the stabbing, gunshots were fired in the parking lot of the club.

After the gunshots were fired, the crowd began leaving the club, the club owner told deputies.

The club owner said a man came into the club with a gun and club security took it away from him. The man later returned to the club with another gun.

Maj. David Belk said investigators planned to issue a warrant for a suspect on Tuesday afternoon, charging her with aggravated assault.
