When Jesse McCain neared the intersection of U.S. 521 and Old Camden Highway, he knew there had been an accident. He just didn't know how bad of a crash it was.
At 4:45 p.m. Thursday, moments before McCain arrived, two vehicles were involved in a wreck at the junction in the Elgin community.
Linda Carol Reeves, 36, of Kershaw, was driving a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser southbound on U.S. 521 when a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero pulled out from Old Camden Highway and turned left in front of her, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
