Where is hope, change, transparency?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney says that a recently released e-mail explaining the talking points for the Benghazi attack has nothing to do with the Benghazi attack. Why not just release everything asked for if there is nothing to hide and drown the committee with information and facts, if these facts actually exist?

It’s like IRS official Lois Lerner saying she has done nothing wrong then refusing to answer any questions for fear of incriminating herself. But few people remember that she actually apologized in a press conference for the IRS blocking some groups tax status. That was back when President Barack Obama was outraged and would not tolerate the IRS being used as a political tool. He vowed to get to the bottom of the problem and hold people accountable. Then he is interviewed on Super Bowl Sunday and tells us there is no scandal or corruption before any investigation had come to an end. How did he know there was no corruption at that time?

Meanwhile back at the Affordable Care Act, new figures reveal that after Obama bragged about enrolling 8 million people in Obamacare, it turns out that most of these people wanted the free Medicaid portion and a third of the rest didn’t or couldn’t afford the premium so they are actually not enrolled, they just started the process, but never enrolled. The actual number of paying members of the ACA/Obamacare may be closer to 2.6 million.

It was also announced that due to more glitches in the website taxpayers must pay an additional $156 million to fix a website that has never really worked. The cost of that website is now just under a billion dollars. And remember that is for only 2.6 million people. That does not include the hundreds of millions already spent by states on their website with several states dropping their website after spending millions and failing to get it working.

Amid the lies, failures and wasted taxpayer money Obamacare is about to be the biggest waste of time money and tears ever put upon the American people. Where are the voices that screamed about the Gulf War expenditures, at least there we had a victory or two for our efforts.

Congressional Democrats and the president are saying let’s just move on, there’s nothing to see, no scandal, no corruption, we just need to correct the mistakes. But how do you correct mistakes if they are saying there were no mistakes. The problem is that there seems to be a cover up, or several cover ups. As I wrote earlier, if there is no problem why withhold information? There have been many hearings and a lot of money spent, but what they’re not telling us is that the delay has been because the Justice Department, the IRS and the White House has blocked the release of information forcing court orders and even then they deny, redact and reclassify information as classified documents.

So much for hope, change and transparency.
